Still Part of Me – Microchimerism I is a deeply introspective portrait constructed through a mosaic of repeated silhouettes and chromatic overlays. The face emerges from darkness with soft luminosity, while dozens of miniature figures tile across the skin like embedded memories, echoing the biological phenomenon of microchimerism — the way another’s cells can live within us long after they have gone.

The colourful grid pattern acts as both fragmentation and fusion: pieces of the self scattered, rearranged, and absorbed into a larger, unbroken whole. The repeated silhouettes drift between visibility and erasure, suggesting presence, loss, and the lingering imprint of intimate connection.
